A shore shot, the ocean is the backdrop. Once upon a time, this resort resembled a scene from Bonnie and Clyde or Splendor in the Grass. Joseph W. Young, founder of Hollywood, Florida, created a swanky hotel on Hollywood Beach. Oceanwalk Mall and The Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort, originally planned by Rubush and Hunter, is a very film friendly location and unpretentious vacation destination.

Oceanwalk Mall & The Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort is prepared to accommodate both tourists and production companies. A visitor may wind up being an Extra in a movie. Inclusive of an onsite casting company, talent practice their lines as they get into character on the broadwalk: tourists and talent, an appropriate blend. This nostalgic oceanfront property overlooks a 2 ½ mile Broadwalk and bicycle path, recently redesigned with inlaid seashells and lined with old world 1920's style lampposts. I can just picture Mr. Peanut with his tophat and cane walking down the Broadwalk.

It takes two to tango; learn how to tango and dance with the stars at TU CAN TANGOS while the man in the moon judges you peering through the window. Listen to the seagulls and ocean tide; find a message in a bottle, on your laptop with WIFI internet or hear a message in a song from some good old fashion rock and roll at OLD STYLE FLORIDA O’MALLEYS OCEAN PUB. Encounter an Old World, déjà The Way We Were, with the sun on your face and the clouds taking shape in the sky along the glistening ocean blue.

Oceanwalk Mall and the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort is centrally located; the Intracoastal Waterway is right across the street on A1A, excellent for shooting a Miami Vice scene. Going west over the bridge, you can catch a creamsicle-colored sky at sunset. Follow the silhouette of the royal palm trees down the famous Hollywood Boulevard, passing the Young Mansion to your right – it reminds one of who introduced this precious paradise in Hollywood to the rest of the world.
